Taryn Brumfitt started a body positivity movement 12 years ago after giving up her drive to please others; instead, now, she is dedicated to helping others find their own personal joy.

Her latest endeavour is aimed at young kids because increasingly people are getting younger when they feel bad about how they look. She weighs in on whether banning certain foods at schools contributes to body image issues.

“What we’re saying is we’re sort of demonising those types of food and making them bad and removing them,” Ms Brumfitt said.

“What actually is even better is empowering young people to make choices about how they fuel their bodies.”
