Geelong has been identified as the AFL club that struck a secret deal with a player to shift legal liability for future brain injuries to the athlete, an arrangement the AFL has denied approving.

An outraged Brad Hardie told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that AFL stakeholders are being kept in the dark, describing the situation as disgraceful.

“They talk about player welfare and safety as the number one aspect of the game, well where is it in this case? How would you like it if that was your son or daughter?”, he said.
