Boris Johnson remains UK Prime Minister after ‘very damaging’ vote
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has survived a no confidence motion and will remain in his job, but the result of the vote is “very damaging”.
Mr Johnson won the ballot 211 to 148.
UK correspondent Enda Brady said that under Tory rules, Johnson couldn’t be challenged for another 12 months.
He told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast “it had not been a very good 24 hours for the Prime Minister”.
