West Coast legend Josh Kennedy is still putting in the hard yards, attending an early morning beach session with his Eagles teammates despite hanging up the boots after an epic eight-goal haul in his farewell game on Sunday at Optus Stadium.

The 34-year-old had a day out in his final game in front of 50,117 fans, prompting 6PR Breakfast host and West Coast fan Gareth Parker to suggest JK should just play every second week at Optus Stadium, without having to train.

“That would be the life wouldn’t it? Cancel the meetings as well,” Kennedy replied.
