Big day at the trade table looms for West Coast, Freo

West Coast, North Melbourne and Port Adelaide are keeping hopes alive of completing their complex three-way deal during the AFL’s Trade Period.
The deal would see the Kangaroos get pick 2, and another pick or player, Port end up with last year’s no.1 draft pick Jason Horne-Francis and dynamic Eagle Junior Rioli, and West Coast with pick 8 and a future first-round pick (after splitting their pick 2).
Paddy Sweeney told stand-in Breakfast co-hosts Julie-anne Sprague and Mark Gibson today could prove pivotal to several trades happening before the weekend, including Bulldog Josh Dunkley’s potential move to Brisbane, while Fremantle and Melbourne remain at loggerheads over Luke Jackson.
