Ben Cousins will line up along fellow West Coast legends Phil Matera, Darren Glass, Andrew Banfield, Michael Braun and more for a legends curtain-raiser to kick off the Eagles match-up against GWS at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

Matera told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast he had touched base with many of the players from the team’s formative years who were all excited to hit the field again.

“I’m hoping Wirra will come back and play on me in back pocket – he seems to think he can take me on,” he said.
