Ben Cousins has been arrested for numerous traffic offences overnight including failure to stop.

Polices allege that Cousins was driving recklessly along Preston Point road in Bicton around 10.30pm last night when they attempted to pull the car over.

It’s alleged Cousins continued to drive, running red lights, at very slow speeds.

It’s being reported by Channel 7 that Cousins told police over the phone he was on his way to a family emergency and he wouldn’t stop.

He was arrested at the corner of Gill and Solomon streets in Mosman park after a short foot chase.

He’s been charged with reckless driving, failing to stop and failing to give a sample of breath.

He’s been released on bail and will appear in court on April 8.
