Be safe on the roads, and on the beaches: Police

Article image for Be safe on the roads, and on the beaches: Police

Karl Langdon spotted a crowd of people at his local beach on Good Friday morning, but WA Police officers are out patrolling the busy areas to ensure people are doing the right thing.

“We’re really appealing to people to do the right thing at this really difficult time and stay home,” Inspector Geoff DeSanges told 6PR Breakfast.

Double demerits remain in place this Easter long weekend despite the restrictions between regions.

“The intent remains, we know people are going to be taking to the road,” Inspector DeSanges says.
“Don’t drink and drive, don’t use your mobile phone, don’t speed and police are going to be out policing that as usual.”
