The Shire President of Carnarvon is urging newspapers, TV and radio stations to remain “positive and respectful” when reporting on missing 4-year-old Cleo Smith.

Eddie Smith believes some of the reports are affecting the shire and it’s community over the last week.

“The damage it’s done to the family, to our community is immeasurable,” he told Simon Beaumont. “We have to remain positive for ourselves to maintain our mental health. If we don’t continue to remain positive it’s going to hurt even more.”
