Clare Johnston, founder of de Lacy Cricket, is the first female accredited cricket bat maker who is changing the art of bat-making.

Normally a male-dominated area of the game, Clare’s cricket bats are providing more options for female athletes.

“It’s pretty special – not too many people do it, especially females,” Ms Johnston told 6PR Breakfast.

“It’s about the list, whatever suits them, I make the bats in whatever way the player needs basically.”
