Liam Bartlett’s fiery exchange with cricket writer over his Justin Langer stories

Cricket writer Malcolm Conn has himself come under fire for lighting a blowtorch on Justin Langer’s future as Australian cricket coach.
Conn wrote an article on Tuesday that claimed the West Australian cricket legend had a “meltdown” during an interview on his future with Cricket Australia’s CEO and high performance manager on Friday. CA on Tuesday said there were “false claims” in Conn’s story ahead of a meeting on Langer’s future this Friday.
In a heated interview on 6PR Mornings, host Liam Bartlett questioned the sources of Conn, a former Cricket Australia media manager who worked with Langer in 2019, but he refused to address the “meltdown” reference and later questioned Bartlett’s credentials as a journalist.
“Liam, what’s going on… why don’t we finish up here,” Conn said before firing off a series of questions.
“Do you work in the media, or are you just a member of the cheer squad… have you ever been a proper journalist, or are you just an entertainer. Do you understand how journalism works?”

Malcolm this is yuck mate. All for strong opinions, but time to fall on your sword, you’ve been genuinely outplayed. It seems you lack an understanding of what a good coach does..learns, changes, delegates, adapts. Almost as if you’ve never been one or played under one. Clueless. https://t.co/Cvt3calUxf
