Federal minister for government services and the NDIS Bill Shorten has revealed that over the past four months about 900,000 outstanding Medicare and Centrelink claims had been resolved.

He told 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead the Federal Labor government had reduced outstanding claims from 1.35 million down to 450,000 which equates to $2.5 million worth of benefits paid out.

“People had incurred the benefit and now we’re just paying them,” he said.
