Aussie addiction: Plastic emissions set to double by 2050

New research published by the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) revealed the plastic consumed in Australia produces more greenhouse gas emissions than one-third of our car fleet creates annually.

AMCS Plastics Campaign Manager Shane Cucow spoke with Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR’s Afternoons.

“This is the first research to quantify the full climate cost of Australia’s plastics addiction,” Mr Cucow said.
