A recent study has exposed just how many illicit drugs were consumed in Australia in the last year.

Principal Drugs Advisor at the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission Shane Nielsen told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings more than 14 tonnes of meth, cocaine, MDMA and heroin was consumed by Australians by August 2022.

“In fact, that was a reduction of ten per cent on the year before,” he said.
