Australians to fork out $23.5 billion in post-Christmas sales

West Australians are predicted to spend $2.6 billion during the post-Christmas sales which kick off today.

Australian Retailers Association chief industry affairs officer Fleur Brown told 6PR Breakfast people are expected to spend big in preparation for 2023 price increases.

“People are trying to get ahead of price increases,” said Ms Brown.

“The research is done online… then they will shop in-store.” She continued.
