Australians call for less gambling ads but the government isn’t listening

New research has found the majority of Australians want tighter rules to govern gambling advertising, but the change isn’t happening.
Australian Gambling Research Centre executive manager Dr Rebecca Jenkinson told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the ads lead to more gambling.
“Most Australians are concerned about the amount and frequency of ads,” said Dr Jenkinson.
“What we were concerned about was the link between seeing the ads… and engaging in riskier behaviour… and harm.”
