The federal government has committed to making international travel smoother and more efficient, beginning with the digitisation of arrival declarations.

Australian Airports Association chief executive Simon Westaway told 6PR Breakfast hosts Karl and Mick that with conservative projections of 86 million passenger movements through Australia’s international airports by 2040, upgrading our technology for seamless travel is essential.

“We really need this reform to work so that our airports can be airports for the future and best meet the needs of travellers and the growth”, he said.
