Australia signs ‘historic’ free-trade deal with UK

Australia has signed a free-trade deal with the United Kingdom, becoming the first country to make a deal with the UK since Brexit.
The $10 billion still needs to pass through both country’s parliaments, but it is hope it will come into effect in July next year.
Trade Minister Dan Tehan said it’s a win for consumers.
“The British are very good at manufacturing cars, so cars will come into this country cheaper, so that’s fantastic,” he said on 6PR Breakfast.
“They’re also very good producers of whisky, so we’ll get British whisky in at cheaper rates.”
