Australia Post is gearing up for the Christmas rush and will recruit 4,000 people across the country to help with the influx of mail ahead of the silly season.

288 jobs are up for grabs in WA to deal with the number of orders that are expected during this busy time.

“We need lots of parcel delivery drivers, parcel sorters and customer contact operators to help us out to deal with that online shopping boom,” Australia Post Spokesperson Michelle Skehan.
