Major production cuts in Saudi Arabia will mean Australian petrol and diesel prices are set to rise.

Motor Trades Association WA CEO Stephen Moir told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the market was very quick to respond.

“There is very little anyone in Australia can do to avoid this,” said Mr Moir.

“This I think is more about Russia and the Saudis having a bit of a poke at the US economy.”
