A 22-year-old man has suffered serious head injuries after a violent incident at a car park at the Hillarys Boat Harbour on Saturday night.

It’s the third violent incident in Hillarys in little more than a month.

Superintendent Tony Flack from the Joondalup District Office said it’s a worrying trend.

“Until we can get into the mindset of young males that you do not resolve your problems by resorting to the knuckle, things are going to be very difficult to change,” he said.

“There’s a whole generation of young people out there we’re seeing who’s resorting to this physical altercation seems to be their first resort, and not their last resort.”
