Thieves have left the community angry after stealing two mature fig trees from a garden that has been curated and tended by a neighbourhood stalwart for decades.

“Before the houses were there that was all her market garden and things like that so her plants are her pride and joy, so she’s been doing it for years and years and years”, she said.
