Last month 57 per cent of new car sales were SUVs, and only 17 per cent were standard passenger cars but there are claims they’re “more dangerous”.

Peter Martin from the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live he had many theories as to why SUVs have taken over the market.
