Alliance aims to improve WA health

A new organisation will attempt to ease the burden on WA’s hospital system, after winning the tender to run Federal Government’s three Primary Health Networks (PHNs) in WA.
The WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) will look to enhance the quality and availability of care available to patients within the community.
WAPHA Chief Executive Officer Learne Durrington has told Gary Adshead on the 6PR Morning Program WA has a fragmented health system which is struggling to cope with the massive growth in chronic diseases and mental health conditions.
