The Oscar nominations for 2023 are out, and in true Academy Award fashion there were plenty of snubs and surprises.

Actress Cate Blanchett is hoping for a third Oscar after she was nominated for her commanding performance in Tár.

Meanwhile, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis picked up eight nominations, including in the Best Picture category.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast he is interested to see if Cate Blanchett attends the Oscars, considering her recent stance against award ceremonies.
