American actor Alec Baldwin and a weapons specialist have been formally charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of cinematographer on a New Mexico movie set.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast Baldwin has been charged as the actor behind the gun as well as one of the executive producers of the movie.

“The potential is there for six and a half years in jail and five years of that is mandatory – he of course says he has done nothing wrong so it’s a case to watch and see,” Mr Ford told Millsy and Karl.
