Labor has introduced legislation to overhaul workplace laws, but businesses say they’ll damage the economy.

Liberal Senator, Matt O’Sullivan told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that he agrees the Albanese government is ‘ramming through’ the bill.

“This is unbelievable,” he said.

“The role of the senate is to be able to scruitinise bills, some things go through of course, but this bill is massive,

“This bill really targets small businesses that are just trying to make ends meet.”

The Federal Government’s bill would give unions greater power to negotiate pay deals.

Among the suite of measures workers would also be able to request flexible arrangements and if they can’t reach agreement, the industrial umpire could intervene.
