Albanese bumps up $2.2 billion fund in effort to fix national health crisis

The Prime Minister and state and territory leaders have met for a national cabinet meeting to discuss the country’s healthcare crisis crippling Australian hospitals.

It’s also the first national cabinet meeting to be made up of all-Labor Premiers under this government.

Nine Radio national political editor Michael Pachi told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons a lot of ideas were thrown around to deal with issues like hospital overcrowding.

“Exactly what they’re going to do and how various policies will be implemented – a lot of that remains to be seen,” Mr Pachi said.
