The topic arose during Footy with Glen Jakovich on Perth Today with Simon Beaumont. Glen argued umpires should be employed full-time to fulfil the high standards required by the AFL.

“I’m sorry we are a professional organisation that is a billion dollar industry, it’s time to make the umpires fulltime,” he said.
