AFL great and Steve Johnson has weighed in on the debate around Adam Simpson’s position as head coach of West Coast.

6PR and Nine News reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Mick on 6PR Breakfast the three-time premiership player has carried the same line as his peers, urging the club and fans to practice some patience.

“Back in 2006 Bomber [Thompson] was on the nose, the club was just going and it’s different circumstances injury-wise, but of course they won the flag the next year,” Readings said.

“He’s not suggesting the Eagles can do that, but he is asking for some patience, most notably from Eagles supporters.”
