A new petition calls on the government to expand its child care subsidy to include options beyond traditional centre-based care.

Jen Fleming, Co-founder of For Parents, told Perth Live host Oliver Peterson that families have diverse needs.

“We feel that money would be better spent if parents were making informed choices about who was looking after their children instead of the only option they have being a child care centre,”she said.
