Advertising watchdog slams mining giant for misleading newspaper campaign

Advertisements by mining giant Alcoa, promoting its forest rehabilitation efforts in a major state newspaper, have been found ‘inaccurate and likely to mislead or deceive target customers,’ according to the advertising watchdog.

Conservation Council of WA Executive Director Matt Roberts joined Oliver Peterson to speak about why the advertising is inaccurate.
“We saw this public relations going on, telling us everything is fine while people are writing about their concerns,” he said on Perth Live.
