The tax accountability of multinationals was a key platform of Labor’s federal election campaign, with the government starting to move on the issue.

Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury, Dr Andrew Leigh (above), was a driver of that policy, and joined Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings to discuss the issue.

“All of this will add money to the bottom line Liam, but it will also add fairness,” he said.

Dr Leigh also revealed environment charities that had been held up for two years under the previous Liberal government were finally receiving approval, and updated listeners on the production of Australian currency and coins featuring King Charles III.
