West Coast Eagles Coach Adam Simpson has explained why the club used just one selection in Wednesday evening’s AFL mid-season draft.

Simpson told Mitch Turner on the Wide World of Sports that they couldn’t create an extra list spot, even if they wanted to.

“We can’t just put someone on the inactive list, they’ve got to be out for the season… that would be in breach the rules. ”
