Acting Prime Minister Richard Marles has recognised the financial stress households across Australia are battling, as inflation continues to stretch budgets. 

Intown welcoming home members of the HMAS Toowoomba, Mr Marles told Oliver Peterson on 6PR Perth Live the Government is taking the necessary steps to ease inflation. 

“Inflation is what is driving the cost of living pressures and is what’s impacting everyone and we need to be making sure that the steps we take are contributing to an environment which helps put a downwards pressure on inflation”
