Pensioners can now earn almost $17,000 between now and December without their pensions being impacted.

This will allow pensioners to continue work and only pay an income tax.

Ian Henschke, National Seniors Australia Chief Advocate, joined Jamie Burnett on Perth Live to discuss the changes made on July 1st to pensioners in the workforce.

“If you’ve got someone there who doesn’t have a lot of superannuation or gets enjoyment from work, why should you punish them if they want to work?” Mr. Henschke asked.
