A sly fox has been found to be stealing footwear after an Adelaide woman went hunting for her stolen boot.

A fox catcher told 6PR Breakfast foxes often steal shoes, boots and thongs from mine sites.

“You often find stashes of boots near their den so it’s quite common for dogs and foxes to do that,” Mike Butcher from

“They just love to chew on them.”
