‘A slippery slope’: David Mundy on the long term effects of concussions

Mark Readings

After Oliver Peterson discussed the class action looming surrounding concussions in the AFL, WWOS hosts discussed the implications of concussions and how well the AFL handles them.

David Mundy said so much more care and knowledge about concussions has come out in the last 10 years, but it is still an injury which can dramatically change a player’s life.

Both hosts agree concussion implications aren’t truly felt until players are older and can heavily decrease their quality of life.

“It’s a slippery slope in the terms of how it affects your life,” said Mr Mundy.
