‘A real jewellery box’: Mining company makes huge discovery in WA as share price soars

Australian company Chalice Mining have made a huge discovery of platinum group elements including nickel, copper and platinum palladium around 70km north-east of Perth between Toodyay and Bindoon.
It has sent the company’s share price soaring from 17¢ to just under $10.
Chairman at Chalice Mining Tim Goyder said the deposit was found on farmland.
“That’s probably one of the reasons why it wasn’t discovered,” he told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.
“It was off the road, and we’ve actually bought about 6000 acres there now, of farmland.”
