The outpouring of memories surrounding the passing of Barry Humphries continues, with entertainment guru Peter Ford saying there’s been plenty of talk on the effect the performer had on the international entertainment industry.

“That hurt him deeply; expats crave validation from their home town,” Mr Ford said.

“And for Barry to be kicked in the guts like that was just one of the meanest things I’ve ever seen.”
