It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas, well for 6PR Breakfast listeners on Friday morning anyway.

Wayne from Hive Smart told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy & Karl his company accidentally bought $16,000 worth of non-alcoholic beer and he now wants to donate it to a charity, but several have knocked him back already.

“The customer unfortunately has fallen through, so I’m stuck with 400 cartons of non-alcoholic beer … so I thought I’d turn my misfortune into something positive for Christmas and New Year,” Wayne explained to the boys.

Karl then explained how they make non-alcoholic beer, before asking Millsy if he had a beer fridge

“You don’t get a body like this drinking beer,” replied Millsy.

After much debate on the merits of alcohol-free beer and dozens of people phoning the studio asking for a free carton, the boys got in touch with Phil, from Feed it Forward, which is currently making 1000 hampers and will gladly add the beer to their package.
