Amber Jade-Sanderson urges for grown-up debate on abortion laws

Simon Beaumont

WA’s MPs are to get a conscience vote on proposals to make it easier, simpler and safer for women to have an abortion.

Health minister Amber Jade-Sanderson spoke with Gary Adshead about her position on abortion.

She told Gary Adshead she expects some “unpleasantness” in the public debate.

“Whilst I expect it to be bumpy, and there will be unpleasantness, I would expect that most people will conduct themselves as grown-up and give it the respect … and due consideration it deserves through the parliament,” she said on 6PR Mornings.
