With record-high rental prices and low vacancy, more people are choosing to live on boats across Perth marinas.

Fremantle Sailing Club member Peter Robinson told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont living on a boat shouldn’t be a first option for people struggling with rising costs.

“It’s tolerable in very small numbers…. you wouldn’t want it to become mainstream,” said Mr Robinson.
