A new survey by the RAC has revealed which new cars are the cheapest to run in WA.

RAC’s 2022 Car Running Costs survey assessed more than 80 cars across 11 categories and showed that running costs had risen across the board.

Alex Forrest, RAC Manager Vehicles and Fuels, told Perth Live host Oly Peterson that many different factors are in play.

“Fuel and the purchase prices are far from the only costs,” he said.

“We’ve also seen in the last year increases in the interest rates as well.”
