The City of Bayswater is investigating how it can limit future smoking venues, outets and vape shops from setting up in the bayswater. 

The investigation comes after local councilor Catherine Ehrhardt brought it to motion at a Bayswater council meeting.

Senior Policy and Research Coordinator of Make Smoking History, Caitlyn Kameron told Oly Peterson on Perth Live she was thrilled to find out the City of Bayswater was taking action into the visibility and availability of tabacco/ e-cigarette products.

“The City of Vincent has been leading the way… and we’re hoping more councils will get onboard,” she said.

The understanding is that future action wouldn’t be about shutting down existing premises but knocking back future applications.
