Fruitful market for fresh produce in Perth

The Long Lunch

Fed up with sub-standard and over-priced “fresh produce” from major supermarkets, Dru Wishart started the People’s Market Perth as an alternative.

She told Millsy at Midday host Steve Mills her customers order online then pick up their orders on a Friday, saving money along the way.

“They get more for their dollar compared to other online stores and major supermarkets,” she explained.

Grower Tom Mitchell was also on the bandwagon, telling Millsy he and his daughters Darcie and Grace started Mitchell Girls Pumpkin and Produce, a supplier for the Kyilla Farmers Market in North Perth each Saturday morning.
