Morale in the WA Police Force is at an all-time low, a recent union survey of members has revealed.

WA Police Union president Mick Kelly said police officers expressed being overworked and undervalued by an agency that doesn’t care about their mental health.

He told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast a third of union members responded to the survey, with a majority claiming their workload has increased, with less resources across the force, while there was angst at its transfer process for officers.

“We will give a copy to the police executive … they seem to be treating our members to a lack of consultancy, hopefully they take it on board,” Kelly said on Thursday.
