WA ends Sheffield Shield drought

WA has won the Sheffield Shield for the first time in 23 years.
The hosts were 7/400 at lunch on the final day, leading Victoria by 480, when the captains shook hands and called an early end to the final.
Sam Whiteman was named player of the match.
WACA CEO Christina Matthews told Jo McManus she hopeful WA will go onto win multiple Sheffield Shields.
