Leigh Sales surprised viewers by announcing she was standing down from her hosting role on The 7.30 Report after 12 years in the gig for the ABC.

6PR entertainment reporter Peter Ford discussed with Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast who was in line to replace the long-time host.

“I think she’s a good operator, but 12 years is a long time in any job,” Ford said.
