A 34-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences, including breach of bail, after an attempted carjacking on Tonkin Highway in Forrestfield.

Police say the man was involved in a crash on the offramp on the Rowe highway on Tuesday afternoon.

He allegedly assaulted two other drivers and tried to pull a woman from her car which had two children in the passenger seats.

The man is scheduled to appear in court today facing 31 charges.
